Adirondack Motel (on the lake- muffins!)
Cochran's - Kiwassa B+B (on the lake- very private)
Saranac Lake Inn (Gauthiers) - Dine and stay package available! (on the lake)
The Porcupine B+B - Great hospitality.
Lake Placid Lodge - High end.(on Lake Placid)
The Best Western- Indoor pool!
The Point- Very high end.(Upper Saranac Lake)
Avoid:
The Hotel Saranac- wish we could, but no way.
Dining:
Breakfast-
Blue Moon Cafe - upscale and delicious. Meet the town for breakfast!
McKenzies Grill (at the Best Western) Working man food- older visitors enjoy this place too.
Lunch-
Lake View Deli - The best deli in the mountains. My whole family loves the food here.
Left Bank Cafe -French and good.
Nori's - Health food store w/ grab and go goodness- hot soups and peripherals.
Owls Nest Pizza- Most like NYC Pie. Thin and delicious!
Dinner-
The Belvedere - Continental steaks and Italian. Always a good bet for family dinner.
The Cowboy- Lake Placid
HoJo's - One of the very last! Careful of the buffet- eat clam strips and ice cream.
Interlaken- Lake Placid
Lisa G's- Lake Placid
Liquids and Solids - Lake Placid
Bakery-
Bluesberry Bakery Lake Placid - Great German pastries!
The Bakery at Conroy's Organics - locally found at Nori's and The Saturday Farmers Market in Riverside Park.
